Who we are

Pio Campo
Dance therapist, educator, writer, actor. He has been a pupil of Maria Fux. His ten-year activity as Dance Therapist is addressed to children and adults, to persons with difficulties and physical, psychical and social problems, to persons who want to learn and practice dance therapy. In the different realities where he acts, dance represents a possible journey towards recovery and integration into society. Among those: Espaço Cultural Vila Esperança, a project to welcome and to educate the children of poor social classes which he has founded in 1992 together with Robson Max de Oliveira Souza and Lucia Agostini in Goiás (Brazil); Asilo São Vicente de Paula, which gives hospitality to persons with physical and psychical troubles. Chácara Paraíso de Recuperação with men leaving in the street and with problems with alcohol and drugs; Colonia Santa Marta in Goiania with persons suffering from leprosy.
In 2002 he opens in Goiás the Centro Internacional de Dançaterapia Maria Fux, which is operative in the cities of São Paulo, Brasília and Florianópolis as well. From 2004 he proposes his own dance therapist activity in Italy. He has founded in 2007 SI.Danza International Dance Therapy School and he has started a series of interventions in social fields in Verona, Trieste, Rome, Pistoia. from 2007 he holds courses on dance therapy language in Nepal, in the city of Kathmandu. These meetings are addressed to women victims of violence of the Shelter Women’s Foundation and Apeiron (reception shelters), to patients and medical and paramedic of the Psychiatric Hospital Maryknoll Aasha Deep.
Pio Campo is assisted by Elisabetta Garilli, musician and creator of the project ‘Design Music’ and by a group of Italian and foreign dance therapists.
Elisabetta Garilli
diploma in piano at Geneva Academy of Music and Artistic high School diploma, she studies jazz piano with G. Gaslini, voice and instrumental and vocal improvisation techniques with B. Stoloff and A. Bakja whom she has cooperated with on the research on vocal sound and bio-resonance. She has played with international jazz players such as M. Waldron, R. Sellani, A. Zambrini, L. Agudo, F. D’Auria. She has cooperated as a teacher to International stages of Spazio Musica, and she has been admitted to the Program for Professional Artists in Rome at D. De Fazio. From more than ten years she devotes her research to the valorization of the role of music in learning processes. She is the creator and coordinator, as she is an expert of application musical didactics, of the Project Design Music, nowadays it is extended to almost all the preschools and elementary schools in Verona. She is the author of tales and music for children, of soundtracks for short films and didactic shows produced for festivals such as Maggioscuola and Mondadori Junior Festival. She holds training courses and seminars on main themes of rhythmical and body learning, of tactile-auditory learning and of sound scenery.
Since September 2007 she collaborates as teacher of Music in the SI.Danza International Dance Therapy School.
Giulia Carli
Il movimento e la danza, specialmente, sono il motore della sua vita. Inizia a studiare Danza Classica e Contemporanea a 4 anni nella scuola “Spazio Danza„ a Verona e Tai Ji Quan con il Maestro Roberto Benetti. Dall’ottobre del 2004 studia Danzaterapia con Pio Campo, che accompagna nei vari laboratori in Italia e all’estero. Nella formazione in Italia e in Brasile propone il linguaggio del Tai Ji Quan come approccio alla comprensione dell’ascolto del corpo nel cammino della danzaterapia. È formata in Scienze delle Attività Motorie e Sportive dell’Università di Verona.
